This classical masterwork is one of compositional controversy- Who
actually wrote it? Initially the evidence points toward Von Suppe, however
after researching the original further, nothing had been found, but instead
it was discovered that Ivan Zajc was possibly the real composer! "All Hands On Deck Overture" was
first performed on Dec. 15th, 1863 in Vienna. It was a one act romantic,
comedic, operetta set in a harbor where a wrecked ship is being repaired and
the crew is dealing with love interests.
