Inspired by the Language of Flowers from the Victorian Era, this original rock/shuffle chart by Greg Moody has elements of hip-hop and a smooth funky style. It also has a relaxed groove, harmonic interest, and uses mystery and ambiguity to pique the listeners' interest. The form is a gradually building texture that leads to a shout chorus and a return to the original melody. There are solos in the alto 1, tenor 1 and trumpet 2 parts that are written or improvised with the chord changes provided. Any or all the solos can be used in this flexible format. A chart-specific guitar chord sheet is included. This one has a nice contemporary feel and sound!
