Dulce et Decorum
Publisher Desc.
To commemorate the Centennial of the First World War, Wilfred Owen's "Dulce Et Decorum Est" is used as the text for this piece for mezzo-soprano and guitar. Like any accurate depiction of war, his poem demonstrates, from a first-hand account, the horror of war. The title means "Sweet and Right," a deceptively sardonic statement in complete contrast to what awaits in the lines that follow.
