Publisher Desc.  Echoes celebrates "The Kirkbride," a sprawling campus opened at the turn of the 20th century in Fergus Falls, MN, which formerly housed a hospital. The building has beautiful architecture, but has fallen into a state of neglect. "Echoes" was inspired by the beauty of the building that is hiding under layers of dust and disrepair. Echoes infuse the piece, with musical ideas being restated in close succession. The music reflects the nostalgia, conflict, and industriousness surrounding this beautiful building.
