Gloria et Honor
While Salieri was not as heralded a composer as many of his contemporaries, he made significant contributions to sacred choral works during the years 1788-1824 as Hofkapelmeister to the court in Vienna. This work begins in a fugal style before settling in to a homophonic setting. A perfect example of the classical style, this setting is spirited in nature with teachable moments throughout.
