Ionian Jig - One Piano Four Hands

This fun duet in reminiscent of an Irish Jig. It is from a set of modal duets which illustrate the fifth, emphasizing how each mode creates a different mood. The ionian mode is a major scale, and creates a happy mood. This duet is a fast, fun dance. The melody interchanges between Primo and Secondo. The rhythm is in 6/8 time with many dotted rhythms, which help create the feeling of playfulness.
