Plato's Fire is an allegory to the haunting shadow images projected on
blank rock walls that were meant to frighten chained inmates, though in
reality these images were created (behind the inmates without their
knowledge) by harmless objects and people passing in front of a fire. The prisoners were scared by the pictures
they were told instead of learning the innocent truth that was merely behind
them. The music resembles the tribal
ceremony, with a heavy percussive bass imitating drums and sonorous melody,
in which one instance of this performance fabrication takes place.
