A tour-de-force chart in the tradition of Buddy Rich's Channel One Suite and West Side Story. Comprising three sections, it opens with an extended fanfare by horns only later joined by the rhythm section. The second section is a moderate jazz waltz featuring an abundance of full ensemble and sectional writing along with a guitar solo and an a cappella section. The third section is in an energetic 3/4 taken in 1 and includes an alto sax solo as well as a brief drum solo at the finale that could easily be extended. Suggested solos are included along with chord symbols. This study in triple meter is a great workout for the ensemble and the drummer!
