Seven folk tunes of the time are compressed into the complete work, which is the second of two suites written for concert band by Gustav Holst. Each of these suites is unique in character and delightfully arranged for handbells and handchimes. Alex has done a masterful job of integrating bells and chimes, stopped sounds and legato passages, making each of the movements a delight. Movements include March; Song Without Words; Song of the Blacksmith; and Fantasia on the "Dargason". Level of difficulty varies with suggested tempo being one of the factors. Addition of optional anvil and tambourine add to the works. You may purchase the entire suite or choose a movement as a separate purchase.
