Variations on America the Beautiful!
Publisher Desc.
America the Beautiful was originally written in the late 1800's and has
been a perennial favorite among performing musicians everywhere. This
arrangement by C. Douglas Ballard pays tribute to our great nation as well as
serving as a dedication to his grandfather, PFC Edmund Leo Bahr. As Ballard states, "I was always
enamored of PFC Edmund Leo Bahr, US Army 836th AVN Engineers - Pacific
Theater, WWII. He proudly served his country and was truly a part of 'The Greatest
Generation.' This piece is a combination of two of the things that my
grandfather embodied: an undying patriotism for the United States of America
and a deep love of all music." This arrangement also features a
narration to accompany the work as it tells a story of America's heritage
through music. Be sure to check out this American Patriotic selection for
your concert this season!
