This piece was commissioned by the owners of the Norfolk wherry yacht White Moth to celebrate the centennial of its construction. It was premiered in July 2015 at Ranworth Church, Norfolk, U.K. with the wherry moored yards away. The choir sings words written specially by Patrick's brother Andrew Hawes which are full of soft and colorful imagery and depict the quiet majesty of the River Bure as well as the graceful character of the wherry itself. The transparent string writing together with the flowing harp figurations create a watery sound world.
