Fred has created a lovely arrangement on the tunes, Es ist ein Ros entsprungen by Michael Praetorius, Veni Veni Emmanuel, a 15th century chant, and the hymn tune PICARDY, a 15th Century French carol.  The creative and engaging introduction featuring handchimes, suspended bells and lyrical LV and rung passages set the stage for this brilliant and sophisticated setting. Each of these melodies are featured and seamlessly interwoven as the work increases in energy and expression leading to a dynamic and fulfilling end.
