Almost Home

If nostalgia could be described in words, I would do that here. Although, I don't think words can do it justice. When I think of nostalgia, I think of returning to my parents home. Driving down that road I knew so well, all the memories come flooding back. Memories of me playing in the street with the neighborhood kids, Memories of me and my sister in our yard, goofing around. Memories of my dog, who I loved so dearly. The house itself is almost overwhelming with all the emotions I feel when I see it. I think that the nostolgia I feel when I see my old home is a happy sad, almost bittersweet. I composed this my senior year of high school, when I knew I was getting ready to depart from my home, probably for good. So enjoy :)
