Always in Tune: A guide to wind instrument tuning is designed to help band directors learn about and teach their musicians the ins and outs of tuning. The guide includes tips on how to tune individual instruments as well as the full ensemble. Each band instrument is covered in depth including recommendations for posture, embouchure, and equipment. Each instrument's pitch tendencies are revealed along with suggestions on how to improve intonation through the use of alternative fingerings and adjustments with the embouchure. There are warm-up and tone exercises included along with fingering charts and scales.
