Amalthea

The third work from the suite "Moons of Jupiter," Amalthea imitates the recorded audio sounds of space near Jupiter with inventive use of percussive sounds and whispering voices. This work provides percussionists opportunity to use extended technique, and its programmatic feel will delight players and audiences alike. An exciting challenge for the advanced concert band!
