Baa

The representative of a piece in Major for the No Flats Or Sharps Key Signature Series of Cello Choir A La Mode, Baa is a bluesy composition incorporating two folk tunes, Baa, Baa, Black Sheep and Mary Had A Little Lamb. Reflective of the rest of the series, Baa is a three-part piece for cello choir. The cello 3 part requires distinction between second and third finger usage, as well as a backwards extension, but no shifting. The cello 2 part requires shifting to upper second position with a backwards extension. The cello 1 part requires shifting to fourth position and use of the half string harmonic. Syncopated rhythms are found in the cello 1 and 2 parts. Comes with one score and four copies of each part - enough for a trio or up to a twelve cello ensemble.
