"Bantu Matador" is about an exciting, energetic, rhythmical piece about bullfighting in Africa. The most notable and first documented bullfighter in Africa was Ricardo Paulo Chibanga born in 1942. He was invited to Portugal and Spain where he fought many bulls. His unique style of fighting was the use of colorful costumes and dance to confuse the bulls. The synchopated rhythms give it that flavor. He remained in the industry for over 30 years. The music may remind you of Bizet's, "Carmen."
