Behold, the Sacrifice of Love

Expansive and meditative, this Eucharistic hymn reinforces the true presence of Christ in both body and blood.  Like a refrain, the mantra-like repetition of the word "behold" introduces, then frames the four verses of God's love, sacrifice, and unity.  Cascading triplets and rich organ harmonies support the choir, while an optional descant and solo instrument further enrich the radiant, prayerful texture.  The text is also appropriate for Easter.
