Canvas

I was approached by a friend to write a song for her terminally ill sister. The request hit me like a bolt of lightning at a time I needed a jolt. The friend and her siblings drafted a document highlighting all of the remarkable characteristics of their sister. The lyric is all references to her based on her siblings' musings while the chorus and concept of the song is the idea that each of us as a living person evolves and develops like a painting on a canvas that does not dry until we die and there are no more colors to add.
