This magnificent scoring of Carol of the Bells by Rich DeRosa was part of a long overture originally commissioned by the WDR Big Band. Bob Curnow has adapted the score in two versions to allow for the traditional jazz ensemble to perform a contemporary setting that will be a wonderful addition to any big band Christmas performance. The Pro Version is seven minutes in duration and includes improvised solos for alto saxophone and trumpet. The Edited Version is five minutes long and is exactly the same except there are no solos. These stellar charts are full of lush harmonies and exceptional writing!
