Concerto per Chitarre Op. 30

This guitar concerto, composed during the first half of 2024, stands as one of my most challenging and significant works. The piece is thematically inspired by the Gospel of our Lord and is structured into three movements, each reflecting key elements of biblical history. The first movement, The Creation, captures the magnificence of the world's genesis, characterized by rapid and technically demanding passages that present an extraordinary challenge for the guitarist. The second movement, The Pentateuch and the Prophets, offers a reflective journey through the foundational books and prophetic writings of the Old Testament. The final movement, The Gospel of Our Lord, celebrates Christ's message with a triumphant and uplifting conclusion. Throughout the concerto, specific passages are directly inspired by different biblical texts, weaving a spiritual narrative into the music. This work is not only a testament to the technical and expressive capabilities of the guitar but also an offering of praise and reflection on the Scriptures.
