Finding Peace is a tender tenor saxophone rock ballad written in memory of the composer's wife. It combines the qualities of sadness and hope in a memorable setting for young jazz ensemble. Careful and simple scoring of the background figures produces a bittersweet cushion for the gentle melodic statement. Along with solo chords, the transcribed written solo is provided. A substitute solo part is also provided for alto sax. The rhythm parts are fully notated and the written brass ranges are: trumpet G5, trombone F4.
