The word gale is defined as a very strong gust of wind or breeze, but not a full storm. The term also has a strong, positive connotation with laughter, as used in some figures of speech. The piece "Gales" embodies these characteristics of the word by carrying a vibrant energy throughout without ever becoming as chaotic or violent as a storm.
