Gales is a 6 minute composition for 2 violins, viola and cello. This piece incorporates a mixture of contemporary string techniques and a more conventional tonalities. Originally written for the Constantinides New Music Ensemble at Louisiana State University, Gales is a perfect piece for any collegiate level quartets, or ensembles looking to break into more contemporary music. 

Program Notes:

     The word gale is defined as a very strong gust of wind or breeze, but not a full storm. The term also has a strong, positive connotation with laughter, as used in some figures of speech. The piece "Gales" embodies these characteristics of the word by carrying a vibrant energy throughout without ever becoming as chaotic or violent as a storm.

2 Violins, Viola, Cello Quartet

One of the biggest projects I undertook in 2024, and basis of my undergraduate thesis at LSU, Automatic explores the possibilities of the guitar quintet in the modern era. A massive thank you to the musicians that brought this music to life. The piece is made up of two movements, Automation and Automaton, and the duration is 12 minutes.
