A French composer, the younger sister of the noted composer, 20th century pedagogue, famous composition teacher Nadia Boulanger. In 1913 at 19 years of age Lili was the first female winner of the Prix de Rome composition prize. It was discovered that she had perfect pitch at 2 years old. Her compositions are profound and at the forefront of the musical thought. She died at age 24 leaving her sister Nadia to champion her music and stamp the Boulanger name on 20th century music.
