HALLOWED

The word “hallowed” is often used to describe something that is considered to be: set apart, sacred, consecrated, or holy. The composition HALLOWED, is an instrumental solo arranged for Oboe and piano accompaniment. It was initially arranged as a French horn solo based on the piano solo entitled, BLESSED - which was inspired by the Beatitudes. It is my hope that HALLOWED will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play, and equip other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate, and encourage their students. HALLOWED for Oboe and piano, is dedicated to my family, friends, teachers, and the thousands of students who have influenced, inspired, enriched, and blessed my life. Mr. Gazlay is a member of: ASCAP, NAfEA, Florida Bandmasters Association, Florida Music Educators’ Association, The International Horn Society, The National Band Association, Handbell Musicians of America, The American Recorder Society, and Pi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
