Based on the chord changes for the Gershwin standard Summertime, this nifty swinger combines the hallmarks of other tunes such as Cantaloupe Island and the Get Smart TV Theme to create a hard-swinging chart that's fun for everyone. The melody is carried by the trumpets and alto saxes while the lower voices provide rhythmic support. Written solos for trumpet and alto sax are provided along with the chord changes, and the trumpet range is to written G on top of the staff. A rousing shout chorus builds to the finish. A very fine chart for developing jazzers!
