This arrangement of "How Great Thou Art" captures the emotions that Carl Boberg felt when he experienced the harsh thunderstorm and the beautiful sights that followed. Rich harmonic and timbral textures are used to lead the listener through a heartfelt journey where they will "see the stars" and "hear the rolling thunder" of the beautiful world around them. Much of this piece is written in the style of a wind chorale with minimal percussion, but it concludes with cymbal crashes and timpani rolls to make a grand final impact.
