This great Carl Strommen original is a slow funk chart with a double-time feel at around 92 bpm. With tons of attitude, it features lots of dialogue between the saxes and brass, powerful ensembles, and optional open solos with written solos and chord changes in the tenor 1 and trumpet 2 parts. The solos are over only two chords and can use blues scales. Hunk o' Funk is very exciting and highly recommended!
