Huron Carol

This carol, based on a French folk song, is considered Canada's oldest Christmas song. This setting of the hauntingly lovely melody incorporates singing bells, handchimes (2-7 octaves), LV, and many stopped techniques. After an ethereal introduction, the piece features a legato LV bass line with handchime melody giving way to melody in the bells. Program this lovely setting for the Christmas season, for worship or concert.
