This great Oliver Nelson tune from the early '60s was originally recorded by a small group. Here, it's arranged for big band in a very hip way! Set in an easy swing feel, this chart has a bluesy shuffle feel while providing a nice, unexpected variation to the standard blues changes. There's solo space for alto saxophone, trombone and piano. In this edited version, the solos are written out with changes provided, the high trumpet parts are eliminated, and the saxophone rhythms are made easier to play.
