Lottery of the Gods was composed by Award-Winning Composer Matthew David Wheeler and is an orchestral tone poem. The work commissioned by the FOOSA orchestra in Fresno, CA. It was originally meant to be performed at Disney Hall, but due to COVID the performance was cancelled. The work depicts the emotions of Soldiers at War throughout history. The extreme changes in tones and time symbolizes the uncertainty and unpredictability of War. The piece is a great opening number for any concert. It is full and color, emotion, and spirituality. The end of this work is none like you've heard before. Perfect for any advanced High School or College Orchestra.
