This work was inspired by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington, Virginia after witnessing a documentary about those who dedicate their lives to protect and honor it. Using symbolism from the Armed Forces, this moving work remembers the sacrifices that our men and women in Arms gave up to keep us free.

Brass Band Part

This is a fun energetic piece that should keep you laughing, guessing, wondering and puzzled. It is full of dynamic and rhythmic variations, many of which come at extreme shifts, all of which are meant to add to the humor of the piece. The work was inspired by the great comedian and pianist Victor Borge, and written to honor the composer's mother, who requested music to make her laugh.

This high-energy, fun piece is guaranteed to wow the judges and audience members. Great as an opening or closing number. Resembles that of film/tv or video game music. You will enjoy performing "Adventureland."

Adventureland

Lottery of the Gods was composed by Award-Winning Composer Matthew David Wheeler and is an orchestral tone poem. The work commissioned by the FOOSA orchestra in Fresno, CA. It was originally meant to be performed at Disney Hall, but due to COVID the performance was cancelled. The work depicts the emotions of Soldiers at War throughout history. The extreme changes in tones and time symbolizes the uncertainty and unpredictability of War. The piece is a great opening number for any concert. It is full and color, emotion, and spirituality. The end of this work is none like you've heard before. Perfect for any advanced High School or College Orchestra.
