Lou's Mountain Bread

There is nothing mystical or meditative about Lou's Mountain Bread. Even in his most powerful and serious scores McAlister sets out to communicate with audiences and engages listeners rather than impress or improve them. This is not one of those scores but as he would proudly be the first to admit, a piece of pure hokum, albeit shot through with his effortlessly assured craftsmanship.
