This four-part dance from the Glogauer Liederbuch (c. 1480) is entitled "Der Pawir Schwantcz" and is attributed to Rubinus. This arrangement for SATB recorders is adapted from a facsimile of the manuscript. There is an interesting transition from duple meter to triple wherein the four players change meter is succession. This lively instrumental piece is not too difficult. Conductor's score and four parts are easy to read. A good example of late medieval music for small ensemble performances and recorder society workshops.
