Minstrels

Upper and lower voices are divided into two distinct choral worlds. The sopranos and altos narrate Wordsworth's majestic text, while tenors and basses take on the role of minstrels playing "their Christmas tune." The lower voices create the sense of a strummed guitar, with a sotto voce tone throughout while the much more prominent upper voices provide shape and contrast. An excellent display of storytelling!
