Mr. Moto

Mr. Moto harkens back to the swinging big-band era featuring a Basie-ish piano melody. The brass take over for the bridge and the saxes finish out the first chorus. Clever key changes enhance the flavor of each section and solo changes are provided for trombone and tenor sax. As in the old days, the chart starts its shout chorus softly with a very cool sax section riff that is answered and built upon in the brass. The ensemble builds for one final key change as the lead trumpet brings us home with a high note, written A and B above the staff, feature. The trumpet range is to written high C, and the trombone range is to F with the tempo set at around 168 bpm. Highly recommended!
