Packin' My Bags is a great tune for more advanced jazz bands at the beginning of the season as well as the hungry jazz looking to improve their chops and style. This shuffle tune featuring the saxes is styled after the Buddy Rich tune, "Groovin' Hard." The sax soli builds to a shout chorus where the band can blow. Lead trumpet plays up to Bb and your guitar player plays the melody with the saxes for a really neat blend. The solo section is straight-ahead concert F Blues.
