Porque un Niño es Nacido

The beloved Christmas chorus “For Unto Us a Child Is Born” from Handel´s Messiah is here translated into Spanish for church choirs and choral groups “de habla hispana.” The chorus features a contrast between extended melismatic sections requiring some degree of vocal dexterity with grand homophonic passages that express a sense of joy and triumph in recounting the various expressions and names of God taken from Isaiah´s prophetic text.
