This lovely three and one half minute impressionistic piece for flute and
strings was written in 1978 for Jo and Toni Birdsey. Daughters of the
well-known Bermudian artist Alfred Birdsey, the ladies are both accomplished
painters and musicians. Mr. Hazzard enjoyed many wonderful visits to Bermuda
which included great conversation with all three artists and their families.
This version includes the flute part and a piano reduction of the string
orchestra score. It works very well as a flute recital piece.
