Presto from Mozart's Symphony No. 1

This, the first of anywhere between 41 to 50 symphonies, was written by an eight-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791) in 1764-5 in London. Mozart was already recognized as a child prodigy performer and this symphony displays both simplicity and hints of the master to come. This is a perfect selection for children’s concerts and to ask audiences “What were you doing when you were eight?” This piece is also available multiple duets.
