Raise a Ruckus

An open-ended dance song dating from at least the 19th century in the antebellum South, this arrangement maintains the traditional call-and-response format and provides the opportunity for the entire ensemble to be in the spotlight through written solis (optional easy improvisation). It is also a great tune to introduce young players to syncopation and swinging rhythmic style.
