Redemption Variations features several moments from the work, Reclamation Variations. But unlike the original work, this new one has been reduced to 8 minutes and 30 seconds. Seven of the most important variations are included in this new arrangement. The instrumentation and orchestration have been revised to make the performance more comfortable. The work features a solo acoustic guitar with nylon strings. This is not intended to be a highly virtuosic work, but it is intended show how a guitar can complement a full orchestra.
Please note that the solo nylon-string guitar should be amplifed in some manner. A microphone may be used and sent into a PA speaker system, or a guitar amplifer may be used with pickups. I highly encourage amplifying the guitar to make sure it is heard, as the orchestra will overpower it.
