REVERIE

“As we journey through life, our minds can often paint vibrant pictures of a desired future, which can be glimpses of hope and promise, that stirs a longing for something greater.” The Collins Dictionary defines “reverie” as an instrumental composition of a vague and dreamy character, suggestive of a daydream. The composition REVERIE, is an instrumental solo arranged for Alto Ocarina in F with piano accompaniment. It was initially composed as a French horn solo. It is my hope that REVERIE will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play, and equip other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate, and encourage their students. REVERIE for Alto Ocarina, is dedicated to my family, friends, teachers, and the thousands of students who have influenced, inspired, enriched, and blessed my life. Mr. Gazlay is a member of: ASCAP, NAfEA, Florida Bandmasters Association, Florida Music Educators’ Association, The International Horn Society, The National Band Association, Handbell Musicians of America, American Recorder Society, and Pi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
