Sanctuary

Drawing on the sonorities of harmonies rooted in medieval church modes, this medium-level wind ensemble work offers a serious, lyrical musical statement. Extended phrasing, exposed scoring, and its substantial length encourage mature ensemble musicianship, tonal control, and expressive shaping. A meaningful selection for ensembles ready to explore the depth of mature expression without extreme technical demands.
