Filled with lovely counter-melodies and the occasional unexpected yet satisfying chord progression, this will be a very nice addition to any quartet repertoire. O WALY WALY is a Scottish folk tune which has a complicated and fascinating history. It was recorded by Pete Seeger in 1958; Joan Baez and Bob Dylan recorded a lovely duet of this tune with the lyrics "The Water Is Wide" in 1964. Note: Ensembles must purchase the number of copies needed to rehearse and perform this work.
