Spinning Yarns

A work of multilayered storytelling, inspired in part by Margaret Atwood's novel The Blind Assassin. Each chapter is part of a different subnovel: a crime novel, a memoir, a science fiction story, a romance; the interaction between these layers creates a large and dramatic narrative. Likewise, Spinning Yarns is a collection of diverse narrative threads stitched together into a dramatic musical tapestry. The music oscillates between dreamlike uncertainty, chaotic heroism, sarcastic dancing, pensive sleepwalking, airy lyricism, and climactic hubris. As the drama unfolds, these disparate elements emerge, inform, and interact with each other. (10:30)
