Stealth Laendlers explore the organization of rhythm from a dancer's perspective. The Laendler is an Austrian Folk dance that is the precursor of the Waltz. Instead appearing in 3/4, triplets dominate a large portion of these pieces. The respective time signatures represent the number of triplets per measure (i.e. 2/2 = two sets of quarter note triplets per measure, 4/2 = four sets of quarter note triplets per measure, and 2/8 = two sets of sixteenth note triplets per measure). This allows for a more buoyant character of the score in terms of structural organization.
