It has been creatively re-orchestrated, with the difficulties of the woodwind and string parts of the original progressively simplified towards the lower-ranked players. At the very slow tempo, the layering of parts creates the intended shimmering effect in a way that is forgiving of the occasional imperfection in performance.
This arrangement is a major second lower than the original. No cuts have been applied to the music, but the last bar has been added to provide a satisfying ending. Add 155 to rehearsal numbers to find the equivalent spot in the original. String parts are bowed, while select fingering is included for the trickier passages only.
