Testimonial March is a pompous march for most any occasion especially
in school assemblies: honors day, promotions (graduations), special guest
speakers, holiday programs, banquets, Grandparents Day, and so on. The rhythm and the melodies express pride,
motivation, determination, high honors, and vision for the future. It is suitable for occasions in the
community including government events.
Note: The 3rd violin part can
be used in absence of violas or if there are not enough of them to balance
the orchestra. The double bass part
could be played by a cellist or two (or more) especially if there is a
shortage of basses.
